Where Poems Come From —Craft Talks and Workshops
If you are working on poems or want to write poems, are looking for a place to talk about poetry and further your love for it - or just start up a relationship with the love of writing, then join Frank Gaspar for three days of talking craft, reading poems, and working on your own writing with new ideas, new origins, and new pathways into the artistic pleasures of writing your deepest feelings and your best thoughts. We are offering a convocation that welcomes all comers, all levels of interest and skill-levels, including a warm introduction for those who are just interested in deepening their own experiences through art. Open workshops of this nature are uniquely profound in that they open us all to the exploration of the profound nature of art, where veterans are invited to reimagine their roots, and novices are emboldened to break through previously formed barriers
This series of workshops will include two, two-hour sessions from May 30 - June 1, culminated by a public reading by Frank on the evening of June 1.
We encourage everyone to register by May 22 to ensure your seat.
As we are an Artist Residency at heart, we have space available for individuals to reside here on our Averill Park campus during the workshop, and beyond. To reserve a space, or to learn more, visit our Artist Residency page.
