Following the resounding success of Craft 101 in 2024, Arts Letters & Numbers is thrilled to bring the program back, stronger and more expansive than ever. Rooted in an ethos of listening, mentorship, and collaboration, Craft 101 is a new model of education that redefines how we engage with learning, creation, and interdisciplinary exchange.
This summer, between July 1 and August 30, over twenty unique programs will take place on and around our Averill Park campus, offering an immersive environment where participants can develop both technical skills and conceptual depth. By bringing together a wide spectrum of material, spatial, and poetic practices, we seek to foster deep connections – between disciplines, between people, and between ideas.
At the heart of Craft 101 is a commitment to transforming education. Our porous structure allows participants to move freely between disciplines, exploring multiple fields of interest rather than being confined to a single focus. We encourage participants to engage in multiple programs, discover unexpected intersections, and shape their own learning journeys in ways that reflect their individual curiosities and aspirations.
With an expanded lineup of programs and an ever-growing network of artists, scholars, and practitioners, Craft 101 2025 builds on the foundation of last year’s success while pushing further toward a more open, dynamic, and collaborative approach to learning. While this year’s full roster of programs is still unfolding, we are excited to share more details soon. In the meantime, we invite you to explore last year’s lineup to get a sense of the breadth of interdisciplinary approaches that define Craft 101 and the kinds of exchanges that shape this unique learning experience here →
We invite you to be part of this evolving experiment—one where education is not just about acquiring knowledge, but about discovering new ways of thinking, making, and engaging with the world.
