Raquel Lesser
My name is Raquel Lesser. I graduated from Manhattanville College with a bachelor's degree in digital media. I have written five books. The first book I wrote when I was 16 years old, A Heart Full of Whiskey. I was in Yales Writers Workshop and The Writers Colony of Dairy Hollow. I was a teacher at Kindercare Champions and I taught art and other afterschool activities. I have been drawing and painting since I was four. I do a lot of community service, such as helping refugees. I made my own advocacy organization called Dare for Genocide Awareness and Hope. For this project I collect art for refugees. I also made libraries for homeless shelters across New York with Volunteers of America. This year I did Arts Letters and Numbers and created my own gallery.
