Jennifer Park
Jennifer Park is an artist and architect based in Averill Park, upstate New York. She has been working in programming and communication at Arts Letters & Numbers(ALN) since 2018. ALN is a non-profit organization for arts and educations, where holding international and interdisciplinary thesis programs, collaborative workshops/sessions, community-building programs, artist residency, and public events. Started in January 2019, Park has been directing a monthly participatory art show 3rd-Thursday, a platform for creative and interactive exchanges between the organization and extended communities. She has co-directed a collaborative workshop Bibliotheca, with the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing in 2018. Along with programming, she also coordinates communication, outreach, media, and publication for programs and events.
Park's works range in studies for people to engage and recreate their own experiences; drawings, installation, frottage(rubbing), and writing. She explores common yet fundamental aspects of life, seeking and valuing what threads people onto an empathetic understanding of each other beyond one's cultural and social background. Her projects have appeared in group exhibitions, sessions, and workshops in ALN.
Park is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design in the Department of Architecture in 2016. She practiced in Verona Carpenter Architects in NYC, Face Design & Fabrication in Brooklyn, and Society of Architecture in Seoul.
