Torey Akers
Torey Akers is an artist and writer based in Brooklyn, NY. Her work makes a project of post-digital longing, teasing out the noble, dumb, and dangerous conditions of what it means to yearn in 2020. She has been a resident at Vermont Studio Center, Penland School of Craft, and MASS MoCA. She received her undergraduate education at Northwestern University and her MFA at Cranbrook Academy of Art. She writes criticism for a variety of outlets and works in editorial at Artspace Magazine.
