Muyuan He
Muyuan He is a designer, researcher and teacher living in New York City. Food is the theme for her interdisciplinary research, because food renders warmth, comfort, joy and nutrition. Food, additionally speaks about who we are as much as our skin color, accent, nationality and so forth. He once installed a restaurant made of paper, where people could make artist books that resembled different breakfast food like toast, fruit, cheese and egg. Since then, she has continued researching other forms of experiential learning, especially interdisciplinary learning that helps people see connections between the arts and the sciences, technologies, engineering and mathematics. Her favorite food is matcha shortbread cookies. Her current favorite dance move is the floss, which reminds her to floss after eating cookies.
