Han Na Shin
Han Na Shin (b. 1995) is a Washington D.C. based designer and artist. Hailing from the midwest, she received a Bachelors of Science in Information and minor in Art & Design from the University of Michigan in 2017. She has worked in the design field at Humble Design and General Electric.
Han Na's creative aspects comes from her childhood upbringing. Being an immigrant and a daughter of immigrants, her days were spent at her parent's laundromat. There she learned how to sew, saw the colors of the clothing blend in together, and most importantly - learned the aspects of balance through design. Her objective is to capture the fine lining between design and fine arts - by manifesting itself by having to solve a problem and for ones own self reflection. Recently, she has been working on design to help users navigate, understand, and easily have access to the information they need.
Her intention is to capture her identity, personality, and what "the past can teach about the future". With those in mind, she hopes to create work that will capture the audience that sympathizes what it means to be an their own individual.
