Egid Joechl works for different instruments and styles, with an emphasis on contemporary music, sound installations and wind music. Impulsivity and immediate expression are important aspects of his music. The plan to the piece arises only with the piece itself. Egid Joechl studied composition and music theory at the Kunstuniversität Graz, with Gerd Kühr and Beat Furrer.
