Ashley Gomez
Ashe is a Studio Art Major at Texas Rio Grande Valley University, with a focus on oil painting and figurative drawing.
They are a published illustrator, working with their brother to create a series of educational books for children, titled Easton Learns. They are in the process of writing and illustrating a series of their own.
Their personal work carries darker themes that delve into loneliness and depression using dark surrealist undertones with a clear focus on self image and identity through prolonged isolation, their goal is to push the boundary of portraiture and put a visual to these intangible emotions while also showing the uncomfortability within one's own skin.
