On Friday April 27th, designer and artist, in residence, Joyce Watkins King opened up her studio, showing works in progress of her touring exhibition Fast Fashion Fiasco.

On April 6th, 2018, visual artist and performer eDuard Helmbold invited the community into his studio at the House on the Hill, where he had spent the last three weeks as artist in residence.

A residency at Arts Letters & Numbers is a different experience for every artist. The duration of time, the number of fellow residents, the events, the social gatherings, the weather, the focus, the interactions, the spaces.

"Why is a question we all ask on a daily basis but realizing there’s no answer to some of those why’s can be easiest or the toughest thing for some. I started this work by just asking myself why and not looking for answers, but knowing I could possibly find answers." - capt. 

On September 27th 5 Artists in Residence exhibited their work, created over the last month, in the Barn, on the Field and in the Mill.  The guests were guided through the exhibitions with each artist introducing their work and leading them to the next.

On Saturday September 16th one of our Artists in Residence, Jiangliu Dong, exhibited the works she had created during her stay at Arts Letters & Numbers. Jiangliu seeks to explore the comprehensive conversation between body, self, and identity.

Friday September 1st we invited everyone to join us for an evening exhibition around the House on the Hill: Under the tree, in the Barn and on the grass Field.

With CONSTITUTION, Arts Letters & Numbers proposed a dynamic crucible of free thought, a space where the widest spectrum of who we are could ask the questions of our time and create works that would bring us forward. A space where many elements could come together to create the alchemy of transforming how we experience today into how we will experience tomorrow.

On June 14th our Artist in Residence Julie Puma exhibited her work while Ruby Jayaseelan simultaneously performed an interpretation of Julie's work in the form of improvisational dance.

On March 25, our Artists in Residence came together and invited the community to experience their creations.

Arts Letters & Numbers first Residency Intensive was held between January 7th and January 21st. Lead by Che Perez, Frida Foberg and Rikke Jørgensen.

Over the course of 5 weeks Arts Letters & Numbers hosted the installation Harmonic Sky, a collaborative project created by conceptual artist Megan Mosholder and composer Michael Harrison.

Emma Harling, a New York based Swedish textile designer and artist, spent two-weeks of residency at Arts, Letters & Numbers.

The installation "There are leaks in the pipes, and it's dripping in the room" by our long term Artist in Residence Elsa Mencagli took place on November 6th, 2016 in the House on the Hill. 

On October 29th, 2016 Bat-Ami Rivlin showed her work produced during her residency, in her solo-exhibition Untitled: Fleshy Objects.

The Everything by our longterm Artist in Residence Pablo Martinez, was an outdoor exhibition which took place October 5th, 2016 on the field by the Mill.

What do aprons, dew, clouds, and oak stumps have in common? On Thursday September 29th, 2016, Ida Liedl held a show and tell about art, life and her 4 weeks long September residency.

SunShip: An Exhibition in support of Arts Letters & Numbers was held at Wilmer Jennings Gallery, in New York City, co-hosted by Dorian Grey Gallery and curated by Director, David Gersten.

Align & Construct was an exhibition of works from a range of diverse media and assorted conceptual notions brought together to examine constructs of culture, gender, liminality, memory and time.
