On September 27th, 5 Artists in Residence exhibited their work, created over the last month, in the Barn, on the Field and in the Mill. The guests were guided through the exhibitions with each artist introducing their work and leading them to the next. It was a beautiful evening showing a diversity of techniques, colors & materials.
Tristan und Isolde - Daehyun Kim
Artist Daehyun Kim(also known as moonassi) has been drawing his daily thoughts and feelings with his character using only black ink for about ten years. He exhibited a 20 meter long drawing with a handmade drawing-rotate machine he invented. Along with the drawing, Wagner's one of the most beautiful opera, 'Tristan und Isolde' was played.
A Year of Hearing - Briona Hendren
Everyday I live with a disability that no one can see, and each day is different. Some days I can hear, other days are close to obsolete. These prints are a representation of the fading in and out of my hearing on a day to day basis. It has been almost a decade since my first ear surgery. This is but a glimpse of how the years have been, and the struggles I have faced.
Feeling - Marisa Piló
The inspiration to build this sculpture was born from my relationship with materials and the act of welding them. I consider that a unique and particular experience that cannot be transferred to a material, it is special, visualized for someone of my body.
Because, everyone sees, the same object differently. Because, everyone feels things differently. Because independent of the objects shape, everyone with their own specific imagination can see different things in the same shape. It’s all about feelings

Distrabtion & Peregrine - Hannah Smith
The dominant focuses of Hannah's visual explorations are into mental health, currently with an autobiographical concentration on Anorexia, Bulimia, Compulsive Overeating, Body Dysmorphic Disorder and Depression.
She aim to create spaces which encourage people to talk openly and freely about mental health, to help start conversations about the way society interacts with mental health; their own, the people that surround them and as a species collectively.
At Arts Letters & Numbers she has been working on an ongoing oil painting series DISTRABTION. Which works to convey the complexities, confusion and shame of Body Dysmorphic Disorder, exploring the realities of not being able to fully comprehend your physical self. Her new series PEREGRINE focuses on the relationship between Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Depression and self harm.
She exhibited her installation bringing visual explorations of Eating Disorders and Body Dysmorphic Disorder into the same physical space. The installation allowed the audience to understand the constant pain of being consumed by concerns about the physical space you take up and how your perception of the self is consistently fluctuating. Whilst simultaneously considering how BDD and Eating disorders are intertwined, unrelated and parallel all concurrently.
12 Graphic Prints - Laurits Gulløv
Out of a fascination of ornamentation Laurits exhibited a series of 12 graphic prints all made in september. The prints are partly surface prints of objects, floors and walls in the mill and was exhibited on the big white wall in the mill.
