Book and Film Release & Remembrance
On a cold Sunday afternoon the ALN studio was transformed into a sanctuary of remembrance bringing warmth and comfort to those who came to the book and film release event offered by Ira and Nadine Baumgarten.
The KOI Collective
KOI Collective was formed in August 2018 by three liked-minded composers from Oberlin Conservatory – Soomin Kim, Kari Watson and Natsumi Osborn – and works to promote and celebrate women, trans and non-binary composers through collaborative projects and community outreach.

We are so happy to have held our first 'Third-Thursday' of 2019, our new monthly night of sharing works. With pieces and performances from artists, guests, local community members and Fellows, the evening revolved around the theme of 'ordinary days', attempting to rediscover and explore the things happening around us that are often given little intention or attention.

Future Unknown: Global Education Summit
Director David Gersten was recently honored to participated in ‘Future Unknown: Global Education Summit’ held at CAFA (Central Academy of Fine Arts), Beijing, China. Future Unknown gathered Artists, Designers, Technologist, Educators and Futurists for a two-day exchange on the future of education.
Arts Letters & Numbers Tasting
On Saturday October 28th we welcomed a number of leaders from the many arts and cultural organizations in the Capital Region to Arts Letters & Numbers Tasting.
Cello Constellations
On Friday July 28 the concert "Cello Constellations" filled the salon at House on the Hill with beautiful tunes, featuring composer/pianist Michael Harrison & cellist Clarice Jensen with Anirban Roy Chowdhury on tabla.
The End is Coming
On June 14th our Artist in Residence Julie Puma exhibited her work while Ruby Jayaseelan simultaneously performed an interpretation of Julie's work in the form of improvisational dance.

Uncanny You
“Uncanny You” is audio-visual theatre performance by Ann Mirjam Vaikla and Lærke Grøntved. The project researches and focuses on “uncanny” spaces and situations.

On March 25, our Artists in Residence came together and invited the community to experience their creations.
Lead to Air
Creative archaeologist and journalist, Christine Finn, celebrated the role of the media, in Lead to Air, a performance art piece inspired by old newsroom technology and collaborative process, in sound, word, and action, performed at the Barn on Sunday January 22nd, 2017.
Film Screenings
This film series is being crafted as we go along. Each screening is imagined to be an island and conversations around the films are how we navigate from one island to the next.
Jam in the Salon
Going back in time at the House on the Hill, we opened the doors to a the speakeasy salon from the 1920’s.
