ACE - Upstate Alliance for the Creative Economy

Director David Gersten will share some brief remarks on the mission and vision of Arts Letters & Numbers as a social poetic project and a new model of education as a living system with the capacity of developing new pathways of interaction and forms of knowledge. He will speak to the critical role of youth in creating transformations that aspires to our best hopes and aspirations. 

Andrew Frishman will speak on the mission and vision of Big Picture Learning and their role nationally and internationally in the Learner Centered education movement. He will share a number of examples of Big Picture Learning’s work in transforming schools around the world, through their many innovations including interest-driven internships and community engagement.

Andrew and David will also share some of the collaborations that Arts Letters & Numbers and Big Picture Learning are pursuing in the Albany region and the ways that they can engage with the Alliance for the Creative Economy.
