Work-Trade Application

Work-Trade is offered in a sliding scale of 25%-50%, where 25% expects full commitment toward 4h work per week and 50% expects full commitment toward 8h per week.

Arts Letters & Numbers has gotten to where it is because of enormous dedication by everyone who is part of the organization. Hours and hours of voluntary work are constantly poured into the project with the urge of moving forward. Building an organization of this scale takes deep care, honesty and precision - and each step is crucial. If commit to the time and assigned tasks are not with-held, the work-trade agreement will end and payment for full program fee will be required, or the participation in the program will be ended.

When joining Arts Letters & Numbers onsite team, it means both onsite and when attending community events. It’s highly important for to show care and respect for everyone onsite and to be welcoming to visitors and the community.

Each week task and priorities are shared by onsite fellows. The tasks and responsibilities might be adjusted to where help is mostly needed and flexibility in this is of big importance. The tasks will be, but not limited to:

  • Taking responsibility over certain areas of keeping the house and working facilities clean.

  • Setting up and welcoming incoming residents and guests.

  • Doing errands, picking up/dropping of residents, driving to local community events

(applicants with driver’s license will be prioritized).

  • Working on house improvements.

  • Working on construction projects of our facilities.

  • Event and marketing assistance.

The hope is that everyone helping out finds agency in the tasks given and to keep an eye for where attention might be of use. Good communication and work ethics is a must.
