The Goddess Called Time

Performance

07/19 -07/20.24

Description (The Goddess Called Time)

The interconnectedness of time, family, relationships, and the self triggered the creation of The Goddess Called Time, a live experimental electro-acoustic performance using collective ideas from the audience (the circle), to be filtered, manipulated, and amplified by the self (Jimmy Lim).

There are four movements in The Goddess Called Time: birth, growth, death, and rebirth; each using earthly elements as a means of communication. The audience then decides how much information they’re providing via tactile actions, interacting with sound devices in real-time.

Accompanied by letters written for the matriarchs of the family, Jimmy wants to amplify the power of memories, touch, familial relationships, and their impact on the self.

WHEN: July 19, 6pm | July 20, 1pm

WHERE: Arts Letter and Numbers Studios, Averill Park, 1548 Burden Lake Road
