On Sunday June 2nd, our artist in residence Andriy Sovetov has shared a recital on the grand piano in the House at Arts Letters & Numbers.
Cecilia Ferneborg & Dave Shepherd
On June 1st, we had a concert and dance of jazz/soul/folk music by two Philadelphia-based artists Cecilia Ferneborg and Dave Shepherd at the Barn in Arts Letters & Numbers. From the side porch of the House, the fire and the barn were filled up with lights, sound, and energy.
‘Finding Home’ Youth Fx
What did a teenager escaping the juggles of Burma have in common with a teenager fleeing Iraq in fear of political reprisals? What do teenagers leaving Mexico and Haiti both for family economic survival have in common with African American teenagers who are stopped by police on the block where they live and questioned about stealing groceries they just bought for their Mom?

Sweet Charity
Since 2016 we have been fortunate to work with AHS’s theater ensemble, the amazing students and their highly dedicated directors and staff. This years musical Sweet Charity explored issues of sexism misogyny and especially how young people are impacted in the systems we live in.

On Mar 16th, Rúni Weihe presented his artist residence show, Moving on: on my ongoing writings; poetry, notes and travelogue. The show was of a discussion of three different manuscripts that Rúni is currently working on.

On Feb 24th, Efrat Arielle Peleg presented her artist residence show, Between Jerusalem and Tokyo. During her eight weeks at Arts Letters &Numbers, Efrat Arielle Peleg took the time to process her three years living and working in the city of Jerusalem.

On Mar 10th, Clare Lyons presented her artist residence show, Back Into Your Mind. Having completed a 6 week residency at Arts, Letters and Numbers, Dublin artist Clare Lyons presents a selection of works in progress exploring themes of memory and identity.
